Volunteer Ranger  Herne Bay and Canterbury

Kent Enterprise Trust is offering the opportunity to work on our exciting community conservation project in Canterbury.  You will work alongside full time project officers and adult volunteers through assisting with practical work days and educational activities at our Hambrook Marshes site near Canterbury, Kent.  You will work with other volunteers to patrol the site, engage with the public and report on any anti-social behaviour.  Travel expenses paid up to April 2011.

This valuable experience and training will help you develop working skills. A minimum of 1day per week for a period of 6 months with some weekend work.

Project Officer  Canterbury  F/T £22,000

Kent Enterprise Trust has a rare and fantastic opportunity to run an exciting community conservation project in Canterbury restoring an ex-gravel works.  Responsibilities include managing the site (behind Staples in Wincheap), implementing a management plan, project managing and supervising site works, setting up and running practical activities and long term working relations with community groups and schools, and liaising with universities to carry out ecological surveys.  A degree (or equivalent experience) in environmental conservation, ecology, or landscape management is required.  The successful applicant will have good IT skills, experience in the above, a drivers licence, and above all is proactive!
