Kent Centre for Sustainable Living
CADET has been instrumental in putting together a plan for the Boughton Mount estate that would transform it into the Kent Centre for Sustainable Living. A separate company, the Boughton Mount Trust, has been set up with the following aims and objectives:
- To make Boughton Mount the Kent Centre for Sustainable Living.
- To develop Boughton Mount as a demonstration site for sustainable build and alternative energy technologies.
- To provide information and training on sustainable living.
- To provide workshops for businesses delivering legacy craft and sustainable living products and services.
- To provide a range of work experience and training opportunities for disadvantaged people primarily, but not exclusively, the young.
- To enhance the beauty of Boughton Mount and encourage the market for locally grown, native and wildlife friendly produce.
Membership of the Trust is free and will enable you to be kept informed of progress with this exciting development.
